Prospect made the case for unions being in the renewables sector during the first ever green industrial revolution reception at the Labour party conference in Brighton.

Prospect’s first fringe event at the Labour party conference in Brighton on Sunday made the case for ambitious changes to double trade union membership in the private sector to 30% by 2030.

The Department of Business Energy and Industrial Strategy today announced the results of its third renewable energy CFD auction which helps to support low carbon generation. and determines the strike price for future generation. Only some renewable technologies are included, for example onshore wind and solar are not.


With the McCloud judgment ruling that the Government was guilty of unlawful age discrimination in the way it introduced public sector pension reform for existing public sector workers, we have had members questioning if other agreements which involve age are lawful.
