Union Week Social Media Competitions

Encourage people to keep 'talking Prospect' this October by taking part in one of our two Union Week social media competitions.

The competitions are open to all Prospect members. Prizes include vouchers and an Apple iPad mini (details below).

Make sure you get your entries in by 4pm on Friday 20 October 2017.

How to submit your entries

Competition 1: Tell us why you’re a proud Prospect member to win an Apple iPad Mini or a voucher to the value of £350!

How to enter:

Write or draw something that shows us why you are a proud Prospect union member and then share this on one of our social media accounts using the instructions below.

  • TWITTER – using the hashtag #TalkProspect and tagging @ProspectUnion
  • INSTAGRAM - using the hashtag #TalkProspect and tagging @ProspectUnion
  • FACEBOOK – post on the page at https://www.facebook.com/Prospectunion/
  • Entry must be online no later than 4pm on Friday 20 October 2017.
  • The winning entry will be selected by a panel of judges based on merit and popularity. (Popularity indicated by the number of likes on a post.)
  • Entrants must be following @prospectunion on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram in order to enter (whichever platform they use to share the post).
  • Entrant must be a current Prospect union member.

Competition 2: Follow us on Facebook or Twitter to go into a draw to win a £100 voucher!

How to enter:

Entrants must follow Prospect on:

  • TWITTER – @ProspectUnion, or
  • FACEBOOK – at https://www.facebook.com/Prospectunion/
  • Entrant must be a Prospect union member in order to enter. All members who follow Prospect on one of these two channels will be entered into the competition.

 

Terms & Conditions of competition 1: “Why I am a proud Prospect member"

  1. The promoter is: Prospect Ltd, the trade union, whose registered office is at 8 Leake Street, London, SE17NN.
  2. The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over except employees of Prospect union and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
  3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
    By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  4. Route to entry for the competition and details of how to enter are via www.prospect.org.uk. This competition is being run on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
  5. Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
  6. Closing time for entry will be 4pm (GMT) on Friday 20 October 2017. After this time the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
    No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  7. How to enter the competition is as follows:
    Entrants must write, draw, or otherwise depict why they are a Prospect Union member. This statement or depiction must then be photographed and shared on social media using any one of the following:

    FACEBOOK – post on the page at https://www.facebook.com/Prospectunion/

The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
  10. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
    The prize is as follows: your choice of an Apple iPad Mini 4 128gb Wi-Fi or a voucher to the value of £350. If vouchers are preferred, the winner may choose from Amazon.co.uk, Marks & Spencer, Love2Shop, or may choose to make an equivalent donation to Oxfam or Help for Heroes (registered charities).
  11. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prize is not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
  12. Winners will be chosen by an independent panel of three judges, based on a combination of a popular vote via social media (likes or shares on the post) and the judge’s opinion of the merits of the entry.
  13. The winner will be notified by email and/or DM on Twitter/Facebook/Instagram within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  14. The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected / is delivered.
  15. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  16. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  17. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
  18. By entering this competition you agree that Prospect may store and use the image and comment you enter into this competition, and may use your name and competition entry in its social media channels and website (including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and prospect.co.uk), worldwide and without limit of time. You understand that you won’t have any right to preview or pre-approve the content (and, that you won’t be entitled to any kind of payment) in the event that it is used by Prospect as noted above.

  20. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
