Health and safety conferences

Safety reps' conferences

Every two years or so Prospect holds a themed conference for its health and safety reps.

2014 conference: 'Enabling health & safety'

Held in London on 5 March, the 2014 conference was in 2 parts:

  • Stress and wellbeing - including launch of stress, stigma, solutions pack and tryanny of performance management
  • Rights and regulatory reform - including 'union effect', international H&S, the TUC manifesto Time to Change.

One hundred Prospect H&S reps attended and heard presentations from Professors Cary Cooper (stress), Phil Taylor (performance management) and Dave Walters (the union effect) and the TUC's Head of Equality & Employment Rights Sarah Veale explain their manifesto Time to Change.

Headline results of the Prospect H&S Rep Survey were shared. Full details will be reported soon.

The presentations and new guidance launched at the conference can be downloaded by clicking in the campaigns and events area of the website.
