As part of Prospect's commitment to keeping health and safety reps enthused and up-to-date, we hold a conference for around 100 of our reps every 2 or 3 years.

2017 conference: Taking Time, Saving Lives

Date: Wednesday 29 March 2017

Prospect's 2017 H&S Conference will focus on:

  • working hours & fatigue - including human error and possible impact of Brexit
  • stress, health and wellbeing.

2014 conference: 'Enabling health & safety'

Held in London on 5 March, the 2014 conference was in 2 parts:

  • Stress and wellbeing - including launch of stress, stigma, solutions pack and tryanny of performance management
  • Rights and regulatory reform - including 'union effect', international H&S, the TUC manifesto Time to Change.

One hundred Prospect H&S reps attended and heard presentations from Professors Cary Cooper (stress), Phil Taylor (performance management) and Dave Walters (the union effect) and the TUC's Head of Equality & Employment Rights Sarah Veale explain their manifesto Time to Change.

Headline results of the Prospect H&S Rep Survey were shared. Full details will be reported soon.
