Pay and conditionsPay is one of Prospect's single biggest priorities. We are involved in over 200 sets of pay negotiations every year, and fight to improve members' salaries and other conditions of employment such as annual leave and working hours.
Each series of negotiations is different, because priorities and objectives vary from employer to employer. But our negotiators are guided by a set of general objectives agreed by the National Executive Committee each year. The objectives cover a range of issues such as performance management, pay on promotion, equal pay, hours, work-life balance, parental leave and training and development. We don't carry reports of individual pay deals on the national website. But some branches use our eBranch system to keep their members informed.
