First-time visitors to the site need to go through the first-time login process before they can access the full range of members' content. This is a once-only process which enables you to create a personal password.
On future visits to the site, you use the regular member login.
If you forget your password, there is an automated re-set system built into the login process.

Sign up for alerts about new content
You can subscribe to automated email alerts about new website content that's relevant to you.
Go to the member welcome page (once you've logged in, you'll find a quick link to the welcome page in the login status box at the top right of the screen - click on the arrow to the right of your name). Click on 'change your settings' then select the 'My interests' tab.
Choose whether you want to be notified about new documents and/or news stories, and the frequency of the alerts – immediate, daily, weekly or monthly.
If you select a weekly alert, it will be sent every seven days, at the time and day you sign up. So if you want to receive the alerts on a Friday afternoon, this is when you'll need to submit your choice.
When you've signed up, the system will automatically send alerts about documents or news that relate to:
- your branch, section or industry
- any committees, groups or networks you are part of
- any union roles you hold.
You can choose additional options:
- other industries that interest you
- topics such as pay or pensions
- content relating to geographical areas such as Scotland or Wales
- Prospect's current campaigns.
On the same screen you can join any of Prospect's networks.
Once you've made your choices, click the 'Save changes' button at the bottom of the screen. You can edit your choices at any time. Alerts will be sent to your preferred email address. You can check and update your details through the same screen – just select the 'My details' tab.
