New members are the lifeblood of the union. Branches and local reps have a vital role to play in recruiting new members and making sure that Prospect's membership is reflective of the whole professional workforce in organisations where we represent employees.
The resources on this page will help you to raise the union's profile and help everyone appreciate the benefits of joining Prospect. All the materials can be ordered from Prospect Central Services or simply downloaded from this site and printed if you have access to appropriate facilities.

Building your membership

New members are the lifeblood of any union. The more members in Prospect, the better we can represent and protect them. Recruitment should be a key activity for every Prospect representative. Identifying non-members, reporting staff changes, contacting newcomers and persuading them to join are the basis for all other Prospect work.
