New members are the lifeblood of any union. The more members we have, the better we can represent and protect them. Recruitment:
  • makes us more representative
  • increases our negotiating strength
  • provides the resources to negotiate and represent members
  • enables us to maintain a wide range of services
  • gives financial stability to the union.

New members do not just happen. They have to be recruited. Although this is a key activity for our representatives, ordinary members can also play a part.

benefits and services recruitment leaflet Is there a non-member in your workplace, perhaps working alongside you? Why not tell them about the benefits of Prospect membership, (you can download a leaflet which summarises those benefits) and print out an application form for them to complete?

Or tell them about the website, where they can join on-line.
