Recruit a non-member today
New members are the lifeblood of any union. The more members we have, the better we can represent and protect them. Recruitment: - makes us more representative
- increases our negotiating strength
- provides the resources to negotiate and represent members
- enables us to maintain a wide range of services
- gives financial stability to the union.
New members do not just happen. They have to be recruited. Although this is a key activity for our representatives, ordinary members can also play a part.
Is there a non-member in your workplace, perhaps working alongside you? Why not tell them about the benefits of Prospect membership, (you can download a leaflet which summarises those benefits ) and print out an application form for them to complete?
Or tell them about the website, where they can join on-line.
Recruiting and organising in your workplace
We want to help and encourage all Prospect representatives to make recruitment and organisation the bedrock of the union's work. Our Organisation and Education unit can help you in a number of ways, such as providing printed material for noticeboards, or organising a recruitment event. Email the O&E unit to find out what's available.
Use the links on the left to get more recruitment hints and tips, or download any of the recruitment resources below - application forms, leaflets, guides and posters.
