Asbestos Forum - provides an opportunity for support groups to speak with one voice on issues that affect asbestos victims. Includes links to support groups around the country.

British Asbestos Newsletter - a quarterly publication which is distributed to victim support groups, public bodies, lawyers, solicitors, barristers, researchers, doctors, academics and environmentalists in over thirty countries.

British Lung Foundation - supports people affected by lung disease, helps people to understand their condition, and works for positive change in lung health. Includes specific informatin and advice about asbestos.

Cancerbackup - Europe's leading cancer information charity.

Cancer Research UK - the UK's leading charity dedicated to cancer research.

Department of Work and Pensions - for advice on benefits such as attendance allowance and carers' allowance. The Job Centre website has specific information about industrial injuries disablement benefit.

Devon's Blue Badge scheme - information about the blue badge parking scheme for disabled people in Devon

Health and Safety Executive (HSE) - enforces health and safety regulation in the UK. its website includes a section specifically about asbestos, and frequently asked questions about the incidence of asbestos-related disease.

Hampshire Asbestos Support & Awareness Group (HASAG) - includes details of a fundraising scheme for online shoppers. The group earns commission from every online purchase made at the HASAG webshop. There are no extra costs to the shopper, and over 100 well-known retailers are participating, including Amazon, Tesco and John Lewis.

OEDA - the Occupational and Environmental Diseases Association. Provides general guidance to help you deal with the many problems which asbestos can cause and suggests who else may be able to help.

Plymouth Evening Herald - the online version of Plymouth's newspaper. Enter 'asbestos' into the main search box to pull out a list of relevant stories.
