Streamlining
On 23 October 2007 the Defence Management Board published proposals for "streamlining" MoD functions in London. You can download relevant papers and Prospect circulars from here.
On 29 July 2008 formal consultation began on the detailed proposals in each MOD headquarters business area for cutting a total of 1,142 posts from a head office baseline of 4,365, with 85 civilian posts being relocated away from central London.
Members' views and comments should be submitted by close of business on Friday 29 August 2008. You can find details of how to submit your views, plus copies of all relevant documentation, in the folder below.
