International development seminar 2009
Prospect's 2009 international development seminar was held on 17 March at Congress House in central London. It “show-cased” some of the work that is already under way in branches as part of
our Bargaining for International Development project funded by DFID. These success
case studies cover various approaches to delivering development and range from
procurement/supply chains, corporate social responsibility, recruitment and humanitarian
initiatives.
The keynote speakers was Gareth Thomas MP (Minister of State, Department for
International Development), who has a duel remit of joint Minister of State for DFID and the Department for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform (BERR) and UK Trade and Investment (UKTI).
