Prospect can advise members on their entitlement to work-related benefits.

These include:

• jobseeker's allowance
• industrial injuries disablement benefit
• retirement pensions.

To get advice, members should refer to their full-time negotiator. In turn, negotiators may seek further advice from the union's legal officer. In certain cases representation can be provided for hearings at social security, medical and disability appeal tribunals.

There are strict time limits for making applications to review decisions or appeals, so members are advised to contact Prospect as early as possible.
