Defamation

Any member of Prospect who believes they have been slandered or libelled can obtain an initial assessment of the case for defamation from a specialist unit at the union's solicitors.

The service provides free written advice. A member who continues beyond this initial stage will be responsible for the full costs incurred. The union's solicitors can make arrangements for such cases.
