Death benefit scheme

Many people need help with the expenses surrounding the death of a relative, quite apart from the emotional upset of a bereavement.

Whatever the circumstances, Prospect will pay an immediate lump sum of five times the higher national rate subscription to the dependant of a deceased member (except retired members). This is worth £1017.00 in 2013.

A dependant is defined as the spouse or child under 18 of the deceased, or other legitimate claim.
