Events

Throughout the year, in addition to our national education programme of courses, the Prospects Skills team, ULRs and branches run learning and skills themed workshops for members and reps in the workplace.

These innovative events can be linked to national events such as Learning at Work (LAW) day and Family Learning.

Learning at Work Day

National Learning at Work Day, the biggest annual celebration of workplace learning, takes place each May. It aims to draw attention to the importance of workplace learning and skills. Each year, thousands of organisations take part in LAW Day and stage fun and business-related learning activities to help their staff learn new skills that they can put into action at work. You can find out more on our Learning at Work page.

Family Learning

Organised by the Campaign for Learning (CfL), the Family Learning Festival in October, aims to engage parents/carers and children in learning together, particularly families who may feel less confident about learning, by offering fun and informal activities. Family learning is a powerful way of engaging parents and carers in learning with their children as it is non-threatening and non-stigmatising, and most parents are motivated to help their children
