Health and safety policies

Prospect is committed to promoting health, safety and welfare at work and protecting people from workplace accidents and injury.

We believe in striving for continuous improvement in working conditions by ensuring that our members have a voice and influence in decisions that may affect their health, safety and wellbeing. Prospect's health & safety reps play a lead role in achieving these aims and are supported by our Research & Specialist Services team, union training and Prospect resources.

Prospect's NEC Health and Safety Advisory Committee helps steer our priorities and ensures that the concerns members raise through our Conference process are put into effect. The Secretary to the Committee is Deputy General Secretary Mike Clancy, as Prospect's lead health and safety officer.
